Calibration is a retraceable and reproducible determination of the deviation between the value that is measured by the device that has to be calibrated and the correct or "true" value that is known due to a measuring standard at defined conditions.
During the calibration there is NO technical change on the measuring device.
For realizing a calibration, a minimal length (length 1 and/or length 2) depending on the measuring range has to be adhered to. If the minimal length is gone below, a reproducible measurement result at the calibration cannot be guaranteed. The
calibration is executed with the insert only (for exchangeable
inserts).
